In 1959 Evelyn and Leo Trentadue fled the encroaching developers who later turned Sunnyvale, California into Silicon Valley. They ended up in Alexander Valley on 208 acres of fruit trees and old Carignane grape vines. Evelyn and Leo planted more grapes and, with the encouragement of their former neighbor, Paul Drapper of Ridge Vineyards, they eventually went into the wine business. Today the family is still involved with the winery, but they have turned over the day-to-day operation to professionals. This property is where Ridge Vineyards has gotten its Geyserville grapes since 1967!
