From Royal Tokaji’s volcanic strongholds in Mád and Tarcal, the 2018 was a warmer, generous vintage that still delivered excellent botrytis thanks to late-season humidity. Furmint and Hárslevelű Aszú berries were macerated into a concentrated base wine and aged in Hungarian oak, giving a profile that balances richness with drive: ripe apricot and quince paste, candied citrus, ginger, and a gentle smoky–volcanic edge from rhyolite soils. Creamy in texture yet sharpened by Tokaj’s signature acidity, finishing long, honeyed, and mineral. A modern, polished 5 Puttonyos with both early appeal and aging runway.
