Sophisticated aromas of blackcurrants and blueberries with fresh herbs, such as fresh sage and rosemary. Graceful and complex. Full-bodied with very fine, driven tannins that are sleek and polished. The palate goes on for minutes. 32% cabernet franc, 32% cabernet sauvignon, 30% merlot and 6% petit verdot. Already beautiful, but in two or four years it will be poetry. Drink or hold.

The 2019 Biserno is flush with graphite mineral aromas and another layer of depth and complexity, with balsamic, Mediterranean herbs, and dark chocolate. It is composed of equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot, with a small proportion of Petit Verdot. The palate is full, structured, and ripe with kirsch and a dark chocolate covered cherry. It has an elegant touch of French oak, with cedar, vanilla bean, and more turned mineral earth. Full bodied and warming, but not overly ripe, this is deserving of time in cellar and then to drink over the coming 20 years.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, July 2022

Showing inky dark concentration, the flagship Tenuta di Biserno 2019 Biserno is a rich, beautiful and brooding wine. There is so much life and intensity in this vintage that is packed tight with black fruit, spice, tar and sweet tobacco. The aromas are presented with seamless transitions, and the finish is exceptionally long. This wine shows ripeness, but it also offers elegance, and that’s not an easy overlap to make. This wine should hold past the 20-year mark. - ML

Vinous, July 2022

The 2019 Biserno is a gorgeous, elegant wine that captures the essence of the house style today. Dark cherry, plum, mocha, espresso, licorice and incense are all laced together. The 2019 is deep and fleshy yet also retains mid-weight structure and terrific energy. It's one of the most elegant wines I have tasted here. -Antonio Galloni
