Château Moulin de Tricot is a tiny property established in the 19th Century by the ancestors of the current proprietor, Bruno Rey. Monsieur Rey and his wife, Pascale, tend the vineyards that are situated 18 miles north of the city of Bordeaux, in the heart of the Margaux appellation. The Rey family owns just shy of 12 acres of vineyards in the commune of Arsac, most of which are in the Margaux appellation and the rest classified as Haut-Medoc. Cabernet Sauvignon is the dominant grape at 75% with the rest being Merlot. This is a full-bodied Bordeaux, dark ruby in the glass, that offers aromas of blackcurrants, licorice and cassis with hints of earth and toast. Velvety in the mouth, it has fruit flavors that linger well in the mid-palate before a long, spicy finish.
