The 2021 Chardonnay is pure, fresh and still slightly reductive on the intense and saline, complex nose that is certainly not as generous and open as the 2022 but, like the 2021 Riesling, rather shy. On the palate, however, this is a very rich and concentrated yet tight and tensioned Chardonnay with stimulating lemon freshness and bitterness. The texture is very fine and crystalline and the finish powerful, intense, very long and complex. This is a highly promising Chardonnay that will need years to reach its first peak.
