Coming all from the mica-schists of the Chavaroche lieu-dit and not destemmed, the 2021 Côte Rôtie La Chavaroche (Peroline in Europe) spent two years in 20% new demi-muids. This gorgeous wine is a clear success, offering complex black raspberry, iron, bacon fat, violets, and lavender-like aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied, concentrated, layered, and elegant, it’s an incredibly classy Côte Rôtie.
