95 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "This deeply-coloured wine has impressively concentrated aromatics, with a ripe blackberry fruit touched with hints of violets, earth and stony minerality. The texture is firm and tannic, carrying the wine to a pleasantly persistent finish. The wine seems more substantial and less forward than in recent years. The domaine farms a third of a hectare here; the grapes were primarily fermented as whole clusters and a very gentle extraction with minimal punching down. Drinking Window: 2028-2055. (11/2/23)"
93-95 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Gruenchers was showing particularly well, soaring from the glass with scents of raspberries, red plums and cherries mingled with rose petals and peony. Medium to full-bodied, pure and seamless, this vibrant, refined wine concludes with a long, saline finish. (1/18/24)"
93-95 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Planted in the late 1930s. Quality pinot plants, which they use for their massal selections. 100% whole bunches. Fine mid purple. The ripe raspberry fruit emerges very well on the nose. A trace of white pepper. Excellent energy here with a fine crunchy finish, covered though in the attractively ripe raspberry and cherry fruit. (Nov 2023)"
92-94 points/'Sweet spot,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .33 ha parcel of 50+ year old vines vinified with 100% whole clusters). An elegant nose combines ripe aromas of poached plum and black raspberry with an impressive range of floral, spice and discreet wood nuances. The suave, delicious and quite rich medium-bodied flavors are a blend of power and refinement on the dusty, long, sappy and serious finale. This too is quite firm and will need a decade plus of cellaring to arrive at its full maturity. Drink: 2034+. (Jan 2024)"
