The 2019 Ackerman Family Vineyards Memoir is a red blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 10% Malbec and 5% Petit Verdot. Harvested mid-October, 4-5 days cold soak, 9-14 days of primary fermentation in stainless steel tanks and malolactic fermentation took place in the barrel. Barrels are composed of 100% French oak and 65% new from Baron, Atelier Center of France, Slyvain, Ermitage & Boutes, 90% medium toast & 10% medium plus toasted. Full-bodied, flawlessly balanced, and both powerful and elegant. It offers a beautiful bouquet of freshly crushed blackberries, blackcurrants and black raspberries plus a touch of lavender and warm spices like toasted vanilla and brioche. It has fine-grained tannins and tons of freshness, finishing long and minerally.
